An appeal has been lodged with An Bord Pleanála after plans were rejected to build new apartments in Newtownmountkennedy.
Wicklow County Council refused this planning application from JP Thermal Properties, who were looking to build a new building, comprised of three two-bed apartments and two one-bed apartments at the back of Blossom Hill near O’Neill Park in the village.
The application also looked to develop communal open space for all apartments, cycle storage areas, and five car parking spaces.
However, in their ruling, council officials found the development would not achieve suitable standards in line with targets set by the county development plan.
A decision on the appeal is due to be made public by the 2nd of May.
