13 Wicklow schools are among 500 nationwide that have been awarded a green flag this week for their dedication to sustainability and protecting their environment.
The schools have been recognised for their work in raising awareness of litter and waste issues, saving energy and implementing sustainable methods of transport to school.
33 premises received the recognition for the first time.
