Wicklow County Council have received an application for the construction of 10 houses at a site in west Wicklow that previously had plans approved for a 100-bed nursing home.Lodged by Whyte Planning Consultants Ltd on behalf of Pat Flynn, the new application seeks approval for 10 three-bedroom semi-detached, “bungalow style” homes, along with a new vehicular entrance and landscaping on a 0.779-hectare site to the north of Donard GAA Club and to the west of Donard National School.Four historical applications have been lodged at the greater c. 7.33-acre site, with plans proposed by Ted Flynn for a single-storey nursing home (60 beds) and eight dormer houses rejected by Wicklow County Council in 2016.Conditional approval was granted for the same development, with revisions, in 2017, with another application by Ted Flynn for six blocks of semi-detached single-storey 'age-friendly living' houses, consisting of 12 houses where each block comprised a one-bedroom unit and a two-bedroom unit.
