Wicklow T.D. Calls For Change To The Way Operation Fanacht Is Being Implemented

A Wicklow T.D. has called for  immediate changes to the current enforcement measures used by Gardai to impose covid-19 restrictions on Our roads.

Operation Fanacht has seen the rolling out of 132 Garda checkpoints every day across the country since level three restrictions came into force. A number of these have been located in Wicklow, resulting in major traffic jams along the M11 and M50.

Speaking in the Dail yesterday, Sinn Fein TD John Brady said the checkpoints in their current format have caused complete chaos on our roads.
