Seán Treacy and Maureen O’Connell will each get €15,000 for short films on location in Co.Wicklow.
Two projects have been selected for the Wicklow Short Film Award for 2026. Seán Treacy and Maureen O’Connell will each get €15,000 in funding as part of the ongoing support from the local screen sector of Wicklow County Council.
Their projects Where We Left Off, submitted by Seán and Elephant in the Room, submitted by Maureen, were picked but the adjudication panel. That was led by producer Cormac Fox and director & writer Mark O'Connor; both highly experienced and respected film professionals.
These short films will be between 10 and 15 minutes in duration and will shoot at Wicklow locations. Once complete, they will be entered into local and international film festivals.
The winners were announced by Screen Wicklow and Wicklow County Arts Office, supported by Clermont Screen Hub.
