Increased supply isn’t reducing demand; homes in Wicklow go sale agreed in just under three months on average.
Property prices in Wicklow have climbed by €7,500 over the past year, according to the latest MyHome Property Price Report.
The report, published with Bank of Ireland, shows the median asking price for a home in the county now stands at €445,000. That's an increase of €10,000 in the last three months alone.
The biggest annual jump was in the price of four-bedroom semi-detached homes. They have risen by €55,000 over the past year to an asking price of €585,000. However, that figure was down €7,500 to the previous quarter.
Meanwhile, the asking price for a three-bedroom semi-detached home increased by one €1,500 to €425,000 with no change over the last three months.
The report also points to improving choice for buyers in Wicklow. Almost 600 homes were on the market at the end of the second quarter, up 22% compared to the previous quarter.
Despite the increase in supply, demand remains strong, with the average property in Wicklow now taking just under three months to go sale agreed after being listed.
