Ireland is set for a bitterly cold weekend with temperatures set to plummet to minus 4 in parts.
Met Eireann has an advisory in place until Sunday, with ice conditions expected in most places, with sleet and snowfall at times.
Derek McAllister of Wicklow Weather said already temperatures are very low and conditions will vary from place to place as they did earlier today in the garden county.
