Workers whose wages are being subsidised by the State won't face a build-up of taxes to repay.
The government's replacing the existing Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme, with a new Employment Wage Subsidy Scheme from next Tuesday for businesses hardest-hit by Covid-19.
Any tax liability for the new supports will be taken at source, rather than collected at a later date.
The scheme will see the Government subsidising some workers’ incomes until at least March of next year.
