Vaccination Programme Now Opens To 48 Year Olds

1 million Covid-19 vaccines will be administered this month, according to the Taoiseach.

He says 280,000 have been administered in the past week. Two in every five adults have received at least one dose - but the government's aiming to double that by the end of June. 48-year-olds can sign up for a vaccine from today.

Meanwhile the government's plan for the resumption of air travel, entertainment and sport will be revealed next week.The Taoiseach says it'll be part of his 'comprehensive statement' about how restrictions will ease in June and July.
