A man in his 40's has died after getting into difficulty while swimming in Wicklow harbour.
The man’s body was recovered in Wicklow town by gardaí yesterday evening following a search and recovery operation.
The operation began after the alert was issued relating to the man in the water at about 4.30pm.
A search was undertaken by the Garda sub-aqua unit, the RNLI, and the Coast Guard.
