Gardai are hoping to question a suspect in the murder of Ashling Murphy, as early as today.
A person of interest in the killing of the 23 year old school teacher, is understood to still be receiving hospital treatment for a number of injuries and will need to be assessed before he can be questioned.
Ashling was attacked while going for a run along the banks of the Grand Canal in Tullamore last Wednesday.
Her death has led to calls for 'zero tolerance' of violence against women.  Thousand of people of all ages turned out at walks and Vigils  around Wicklow over the weekend.
