The government's new Stay and Spend Scheme begins today, in an attempt to boost the hospitality sector.
Taxpayers will be able to get 125 euro in income tax credits when they spend up to 625 euro.
The scheme applies to expenditure in restaurants, hotels, pubs and similar businesses, and runs until April 30th.
However, the president of the Irish Hotels Federation, says there's still a lot of question marks around the initiative and it needs more clarification for both the business community and the consumer.
