The St Patrick’s Day parade will once again hit the Wicklow streets after an absence over the past two yearsThe popular parade annually attracts thousands of people to Wicklow town, but the parade had to be cancelled late in 2020 once the Covid pandemic started taking hold in Ireland. The 2021 event was held virtually, with no parade taking place.The lifting of nearly all of Ireland’s Covid restrictions means plans are already being put in place for a parade taking place this March 17th.Garrett O’Reilly of the Wicklow St Patrick’s Day Committee said: “The committee met this week and we agreed we would be having our first parade since 2019.
