Planning has been approved for a new development at the Alps site in Arklow.
The planned development will see the demolition of existing derelict buildings to make way for 59 apartments (7 one-beds, 42 two-beds and 10 three-beds) within four blocks, ranging in height from four to seven storeys, and 40 three-storey houses, comprising 20 three-beds and 20 four-beds.
The expansive plans also include the provision of communal and private open spaces, including a new amphitheatre and plaza.
The former Ormonde Cinema will be refurbished and then used for commercial use, comprising a 322.5sqm office on the first floor and a 32sqm office, 181sqm lounge/café and 59sqm café at ground floor level.
