There are concerns that rubbish from an old landfill site in Bray may have washed up at a beach and nature reserve area in North Dublin through the years.
The Bull Island Action Group has gathered a large collection of plastic litter from clean-ups of the reserve, some of which dates back to the 50’s and 60’s.
The group believes it could be from former landfill site at Bray, which is in the constituency of Dun Laoghaire Rathdown, which has been falling into the sea for years.
Speaking to East Coast FM’s Morning Show, Wicklow T.D. John Brady said it’s possible that the rubbish may have come from the Bray landfill, but that this issue is being rectified.
