There's been a 10 per cent increase in the number of domestic abuse incidents reported to Gardaí.

There's been a 10 per cent increase in the number of domestic abuse incidents reported to Gardaí.
Officers responded to more than 48-thousand 4-hundred domestic abuse incidents last year.
Divisional protective services units have now been established in every Garda division.
The number of criminal charges involving domestic abuse increased by 13 per cent last year.
Detective Superintendent Colm Noonan, one of the officers in charge of the Operation Faoiseamh , says the increase in cases is down to greater awareness:
