REWILD Wicklow marked their official launch on Saturday by planting trees at Jacksmill in Newtownmountkennedy.
The environmental organisation formed last year as the Alvey family started a petition calling on the Wicklow Mountains to be reforested with native trees. The petition had 11,000 supporters.
ReWild has formed with its mission to monitor, protect, enhance and increase native habitats across the county working with public, private and other community groups.
