A planning application has been lodged with Wicklow County Council for the development of an open farm project at Millrace Holiday Park in Ballynacarrig, Brittas Bay.
Lodged by Tanark PLC, the proposal consists of a farm diversification tourism accommodation and open farm project, incorporating a full masterplan and landscaping scheme on a 6.76-hectare site.The development will include open farm visitor areas with farm sheds, comprising a petting shed, pens, paddocks, play areas, and garden connecting to the existing/proposed accommodation by a ‘farm link trail’,
Guest facilities at the farm yard cluster will feature an entry building including a farm shop, coffee dock and reception, as well as a meeting area for picnics and BBQs.
There will also be a guest amphitheatre and farm food building with a kitchen, catering and self-catering area, and communal dining areas with associated storage and toilets.
