The delivery of 106 units of social housing in West Wicklow appears to be up in the air.
It follows a decision to pull the plug on the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project in Blessington.
The Department of Housing has put the development on ice based on a value for money review.
70 houses, 36 duplex apartments and a two storey crèche had received planning.
Wicklow TD John Brady says the indefinite stalling of this project in Blessington puts a question over other Wicklow based housing plans, as well as those in Dublin, Kildare and Sligo.
A total of 486 were due to be constructed in these areas through PPP Bundle 3.
