Dublin City Council has announced the pedestrianisation of Capel Street and Parliament Street is being extended.
The council announced yesterday evening the successful trial was coming to an end this weekend.
However in a statement this afternoon, it says the initiative is being extended by four weeks following representations by the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Alison Gilliland, and her fellow councillors.
The scheme is now running until September 26th.
