Parents At North Wicklow Schools Agree To Ban On Smartphones For Students Until After 6th Class

Eight primary schools in Greystones have agreed a voluntary ban on smartphones among kids.

The initiative has stemmed from the 'It Takes a Village' scheme.

Those who sign up to the "no smart device voluntary code" won't access social media apps until secondary school at the earliest.

Principal of St. Patrick's National School, Rachel Harper, says she and other principals have seen an increase in anxiety among 9 to 12 year olds
