The National Transport Authority has said it’s not feasible to facilitate additional bus lanes through the Main Street in Bray.
Following a parliamentary question from Social Democrats TD Catherine Murphy, the authority cited existing width constraints as the main obstacle in providing bus priority in the area as part of the Bus Connects project.
Subject to government funding, the proposed Bray bus corridor will run from the Fran O’Toole Bridge crossing the Dargle River northwards to Dublin City Centre.
The authority says it’s engaging with Wicklow County Council to implement measures to help alleviate traffic congestion in the town.
