Future Ticketing has renewed its partnership with Wicklow GAA, extending a collaboration which began in 2023.
Wicklow County Board controls its ticket sales for club matches using Future Ticketing software.
Future Ticketing said the extension of the relationship is a vote of confidence in the service it has given since the county embraced its innovative online ticketing model.
Ann Marie Guinan, Chief Marketing Officer, Future Ticketing, said the company’s Client Success Manager, Martin O’Brien, had been performing several roles - working for Future Ticketing while also playing football and hurling in Wicklow.
Ms Guinan commented: “Our very own Martin O'Brien was in action, representing Annacurra in the football campaign and Carnew Emmets in the hurling championship. Competing in both codes at such a high level takes exceptional commitment, discipline, and an understanding of what clubs and counties need to succeed.
“That same dedication carries into Martin's work with our clients. Having experienced the demands of GAA firsthand, he understands the unique challenges counties face and brings that insight to every future ticketing solution, ensuring clients receive the same level of commitment and attention that he brings to the pitch.”
Mr O’Brien said: “Here at Future Ticketing we were very proud when we first added Wicklow GAA to our Gaelic games family and we are especially pleased to renew that partnership.
“With its 38 clubs and a vibrant scene embracing football and hurling, plus one of the country’s most legendary grounds in Aughrim, Wicklow GAA is perfectly placed to benefit from the digital ticketing we provide.
“Wicklow’s administrators and volunteers have recognised the efficiencies Future Ticketing has brought and we are delighted to assist the county in accessing the revenue which we know is reinvested back into games development.
“Of course, 2026 has been a momentous year for Wicklow football with the Tailteann Cup victory and we congratulate the county on its success and look forward to more silverware.”
Damien Byrne, Chairman of Wicklow GAA said: “We have been very pleased with how the Future Ticketing platform has worked for us since we adopted it. We have found Future Ticketing to be especially knowledgeable about the GAA and its particular needs and the continued involvement of company team members with their clubs is especially impressive.”
Future Ticketing has partnered with GAA County Boards all over the country with counties in all four provinces opting for its user-friendly platform and the secure, GDPR-compliant storage of customer data.
County Boards have acknowledged that members of the Future Ticketing support team are themselves immersed in the GAA and continue to be active in Gaelic games in their local communities.
Ronan Burns, Head of Sales & Business Development, Future Ticketing, said: “The flexibility of the Future Ticketing platform offers an all-in-one solution for numerous ticketing options including match tickets, ticket bundles, weekend packages, season pass cards with photo ID as used by Clare, tiered membership (gold, silver and bronze) introduced by Carlow and stadium seating plans for county finals.”
For the supporter booking a match ticket, there is a simple four-step customer journey with no log-in required.
For County Board administrators the workload is reduced, efficiencies are enhanced and there is instant access to revenue and sales data.
Mr Burns added: “The reach of the Future Ticketing platform extends far beyond tickets with counties using the technology for fundraising and off field events such as draws for cars in both Wicklow and Kerry GAA, with the Kingdom also running a raffle for an energy saving home retrofit.”
