Research finds the public strongly value the work of local Wicklow charities, That's according to a new study by We Act.

There are 936 charities in Wicklow including local voluntary supports, such as disability services, sports clubs, and family resource centres. Respondents believe that these charities have a strong impact on their community

 71% agreed that small charity and community organisations understand their  local needs while over 60% believe that it is important for a charity to be local to them.
