Scoil Naomh Iosaf in Baltinglass is set to gain new classrooms following the issue of the shortage of school places in Wicklow.
The school is set to gain 2 mainstream classrooms through modular builds, 1 Special Education classroom and 5 Special Education Tuition rooms.
In a statement the Taoiseach Simon Harris has welcomed the development:
“I am so pleased to see this development for Scoil Naohm Iosaf. The issue of school places shortages is an issue I have been dealing with first hand and one that I have been seeking to tackle relentlessly especially in Wicklow. I am acutely aware that more classrooms means more space which provides young children with better learning environments. As such the announcement of new classrooms is overwhelmingly positive for children and parents."
