Wicklow County Council has said that the new changing facilities planned for ‘The Cove’ in Arklow will be designed and manufactured in the next few weeks.Part of WCC’s Coastal Blueway project to improve maritime facilities in Bray, Greystones, Kilcoole, Wicklow town and Brittas Bay, works in Arklow include a new boardwalk at South Beach – which has been completed – along with changing screens and a bike rack at The Cove.The upgrades at The Cove have required the permission of landowner Roadstone, with the building material providers collaborating with the local authority to deliver the project.“The path at South Beach and the investment at The Cove are part of a larger project at six locations along the Wicklow coast, with Blueway signage due to be completed and in place, as part of the accreditation process.”
