A man (30s) arrested in connection with a serious public order incident in Aughrim has been released from Garda custody without charge.
Last Monday evening, April 29th, Gardaí in Wicklow responded to reports of a large group of individuals gathered outside a vacant premises undergoing works in Aughrim.
In a statement, An Garda Síochána say that "Workers contracted to carry out lawful employment on the site were allegedly subjected to abuse by individuals present. Gardaí attended the scene and were also subjected to abuse."
The investigation is ongoing and a file will be prepared for the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
