The 4pm 885 bus service between Sallins and Ballymore Eustace will continue to operate.
The 4pm service had previously been cancelled following the extension of the 885 bus route to Baltinglass in mid-November.
The change in timetable and removal of the 4pm bus resulted in several school children being left with no way home from school in Naas.
Deputy Jennifer Whitmore raised this issue with the National Transport Authority and were successful in having the service reinstated on a temporary basis, which was operated by Kildare-South Dublin Local Link.
"The removal of this service, which at least 14 school children were relying on to get home from school, caused a huge amount of stress and upheaval for the families involved. I would like to thank the NTA and Local Link for their help in finding a solution to this matter,” commented Ms Whitmore.
The 4pm 885 bus service will be operated by Carlow Kilkenny Wicklow Local Link and will run from Sallins to Ballymore Eustace via Naas and Blessington.
