Do you shop at Lidl? It might be wise to check your fridge and freezer.
The Food Safety Authority has recalled specific batches of Lidl chicken breast fillets, due to the presence of salmonella.
The impacted products are batches of Lidl's Free Range 100% Irish Chicken Breast Fillets 291g, and 100% Irish Diced Chicken Breast Fillets 550g, with a use-by date of April 12th.
Wicklow consumers are urged not to eat any of the impacted products.

The authority advises the following:
- People infected with salmonella typically develop symptoms between 12 and 36 hours after infection.
- The most common symptom is diarrhoea - which can be severe enough to require medical attention.
- Other symptoms may include fever, headache and abdominal cramps.
- The illness usually lasts four to seven days.
- The elderly, infants, and those with impaired immune systems are more likely to have a severe illness.
