Parts of Dublin, Limerick, and Cork have been named among the most littered places in the country.
The latest Irish Business Against Litter report puts Dublin's North Inner City at the bottom of the table.
It's followed by Dundalk in Louth, Limerick City Centre and Dublin City Centre.
Maynooth in Kildare, Mallow in Cork, and Sligo Town were found to be the cleanest places.
While Bray in North Wicklow was ranked 16th and deemed clean to European norms.
The report for Bray stated: “A consistently strong performance by Bray with just one heavily littered site. Both the Main Street and Quinsboro Road scored very well. Other top-ranking sites included Bray Recycle Centre and a couple of approach roads. A miscellaneous Laneway off Main Street presented poorly and is likely to deteriorate further if not addressed. There was no notable change to the poor litter situation along Dargle Road Upper – to the casual observer it was mildly littered but anybody walking along would note heavier levels on the left-hand side.”
