Bank of Ireland is seeking 1,400 job cuts from its 11,000 workforce and has launched a voluntary redundancy programme this morning.
The bank has reported a loss of €669 million before tax for the first six months of this year, after putting aside €937 million, mainly to cover losses related to Covid-19 loan repayment breaks.
