Flow State Open Water Swimming have announced that Greystones will be the home of its very first Open Water Festival on August 17th.
The Flow State Open Water Festival will offer attendees a whole host of activities and events for swimmers and open water lovers alike, including open water dips, races, demonstrations, and interviews with figures of interest – all to the backdrop of the gorgeous Greystones shoreline.
The festival kicks off at 8.00am with the “Dip and Sip” event, hosted by Outsider.ie, where participants are invited to join a social dip in the refreshing waters of South Beach while enjoying a hot beverage.
From 9:30am, the open water races will commence, featuring distances of 750 and 1500 meters. Vendors will be present throughout the day, providing an opportunity for attendees to explore and discuss all things related to coastal activities.
Additionally, a series of talks on sustainability and ecology will take place, along with interviews featuring some of the East Coast’s most prominent water-based athletes.
