Mark Burke who is originally from Newtownmountkennedy, was only given hours to live after being diagnosed with the Coronavirus.
After appearing to be in full recovery, Mark suffered organ failure and his wife and children were told he would not survive. However Mark has beaten the odds and stunned medics by pulling through and making a full recovery.
Speaking to East Coast FM’s Morning Show, Mark’s wife Joanne said his recovery has been discussed globally in the medical profession, because it has defied all the diagnosis they had been given.
A GoFundMe fundraising drive has been launched to help raise money for life saving equipment for the ICU and Hospital departments at St Vincent's in South Dublin.
