A woman in her 40s was left badly shaken after a man threatened her with a knife in Kill this morning.
Gardai in Kildare are appealing for witnesses to a carjacking in Kill this morning.
Just before 7am a woman in her 40s was flagged down by a man as she approached a roundabout on Bothar Philip near Kill in Co Kildare.
She stop and spoke to the pedestrian before he threatened her with a knife.
He made off in her car - a blue Hyundai Tucson - travelling in the direction of the N7 northbound.
The woman wasn't injured but is said to be badly shaken.
The car still hasn't been recovered and no arrests have been made at this stage.
Gardaí say the man was wearing a high-vis jacket and may have been involved in a single car collision on the Straffan road a short time earlier.
Anyone with information is being asked to come forward
