The Rural Development Minister has announced funding to support 122 agricultural shows nationwide.
These include the Carnew and District Agricultural Show, Kilmacanogue Horse Show, Marina Fay Show and Tinahely Show in Wicklow.
€1 million has been set aside by Heather Humphreys to cover some of the operational costs.
This record single investment in agricultural shows represents a 40% increase on last year's allocation.
