Funding of €446,025.00 has been announced by Tánaiste Simon Harris to help Wicklow County Council to continue the ongoing development and enhancement of harbour and fishing facilities.
Wicklow has been allocated €446,025 in grant funding towards four key projects with a total investment of €594,700.
This investment will directly support the safety, security, and structural integrity of Wicklow and Arklow Harbours.
The approved projects include:
- €250,000 for Underwater Concrete Repair Works on the East Pier in Wicklow Harbour (grant: €187,500)
- €60,000 for Main Entrance Works at Wicklow Port (grant: €45,000)
- €35,000 for Pedestrian and Vehicle Roller Gate Infrastructure at Arklow Harbour (grant: €26,250)
- €249,700 for the installation of CCTV and Access Control systems at Wicklow and Arklow Harbours (grant: €187,275)
