Five people are due in court today, after being detained in Carlow this week, following the interception of a vehicle with false number plates.
Last Tuesday, as part of operation Thor, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau supported by the Emergency Response Unit and Security stopped a high powered car at Black Bog Road in Carlow.
The vehicle was seized and property believed to be the proceeds of a burglary which was committed a short time earlier, was also recovered.
Five occupants were arrested and detained in Garda Stations in Kilkenny and Carlow on suspicion of committing burglary.
Four adults and one child are expected before a sitting of Carlow District Court this morning.
