It’s being claimed that efforts have been made to reinforce the illegally erected barriers aimed at preventing the public from accessing North Beach in Arklow.
Wicklow County Council are preparing to take legal action to have the barriers removed to reopen the public right of way.
Wicklow T.D. john Brady says a number of warning letters have already been served on those who erected the barriers, but he says these new efforts show contempt to the people of Arklow and the County Council.
Deputy Brady has urged locals to remain vigilant and report any further measures taken to block the public amenity.
