€30,000 of cocaine seized at Wicklow Checkpoint

A member of the Wicklow Roads Policing Unit operating a #NationalSlowDownDay checkpoint yesterday was suspicious of a particular car and occupant.

A member of the Garda Wicklow Roads Policing Unit operating a #NationalSlowDownDay checkpoint yesterday was suspicious of a particular car and occupant.

A search of the car uncovered approximately a half kilo of cocaine hidden in the car and on the driver (approx value €30k+). A man was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply drugs and is due to appear in court today (Saturday Dec 12th 2020).
