€15,000 In Funding Allocated For Wicklow Libraries

The funding is aimed at supporting and improving library services across the county making them more inclusive

The funding announced today will deliver a range of furniture and equipment including 26 ergonomic chairs, 2 height-adjustable desks and 18 Age Friendly trolleys to support the elderly and people with mobility needs or physical disabilities.

Additionally, 10 visually impaired keyboards will be installed alongside trackball mice to support people with visual impairments.

Further funding of €150,000 has been approved to support the promotion of public libraries through the hosting of an Open Day in all libraries nationwide that will enable them to showcase what they offer to the public.
