38,000 euro worth of assorted drugs, destined for delivery to several counties, including Wicklow, have been seized at Athlone mail centre in Westmeath.
The kilo and a half of herbal cannabis, along with heroin, MDMA and crack cocaine were discovered in parcels from the UK, US and Spain by Bailey the sniffer dog.
The packages had been declared as t-shirts, phone cases and bicycle gloves.
They were to be delivered to various addresses here in the garden county and 7 other counties including Dublin and Kildare.
