Death Toll From Haiti Earthquake Increases Further

The number of people known to have died after a major earthquake in Haiti has risen to 1,297.

Officials say more than 5,700 are injured. Forecasters are warning the situation could get worse, with Tropical Storm Grace expected to hit the Caribbean country tonight.
