Co-living accommodation could be banned under a new proposal to go before the Dáil later.
Sinn Fein's 'Ministerial Power Bill' would remove the current law allowing ministers to change planning laws without an Oireachtas vote.
It would also remove co-living and build-to-rent guidelines from building standards.
