A 40-year-old convicted criminal who is serving a six-month sentence for obstruction while in custody at Bray garda station, has appeared before an extradition hearing at the High Court in connection with the "targeted murder" of a 29-year-old man in England last April.
Keith McCarthy also known as Keith Galvin was detained for possession of heroin, after he was stopped and searched in the County Wicklow town in October.
He was charged and jailed for obstruction, after given false details of his identity.
He was arrested at Cloverhill Prison yesterday on foot of a European Arrest Warrant in connection with the murder of chef Kerrin Repman, who was killed when his motorbike was deliberately hit by a BMW in Essex on April the 15th last.
He is due to appear again before the High Court on December 18th.
