The areas identified by the council are The Riverwalk in Arklow, the promenade from the pier to the playground in Wicklow town, Burnaby Park in Greystones, the Tinahely Railway Walk, along with Baltinglass Park, Shillelagh Park , Bray Promenade and the People’s Park Bray.
While people over the age of 70 are free to exercise elsewhere and at any time during the day within HSE guidelines.
From Monday next, the Council is asking members of the public to consider using the eight designated locations outside of the hours of 9 and 11 am each day.
