175 groups are to benefit nationwide as part of the government's CLAR programme.Sports clubs and schools are among the groups nationwide that will receive grants of up to €50,000 to develop a wide and diverse range of community facilities. In Wicklow the works include in upgrading public lighting at Kilpipe Church while disability access and toilet facilities will be improved at the Community Hall in Askinagap. The funding is being provided as part a Government policy to promote development in more remote parts of the country.
