Walkers are being reminded that the Bray to Greystones Cliff Walk remains closed, following a serious landslide along the popular walk, which resulted in the council imposing restrictions along the route.
Wicklow T.D. John Brady says evidence on the beach shows that following the heavy rains in recent weeks, a number of landslides have taken place recently, leaving the cliff face unstable. He says he has concerns that further landslides could take place.
Deputy Brady says the council must be proactive and all measures need to considered , including engaging with the adjoining landowner in the aim of acquiring some land to move the walk away from the cliff edge at this location.
