Creative Places Baltinglass, under the Seed Funding Scheme 2024, are inviting applications from artists of all disciplines based in Baltinglass and west Wicklow.

One award of €5,000 and three awards of €2,000 will be made with a total fund of €11,000 to be allocated under this round.The fund is intended to receive high-quality applications featuring innovative ways to increase engagement between people, arts, culture, heritage, climate action, biodiversity and creativity. The scheme is open to artists and local community arts, heritage, biodiversity and cultural groups.Awarded projects can include artistic interventions, socially engaged arts projects, performances, exhibitions, podcasts, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and creative engagements for children and young people.The first round of the scheme was introduced in 2023 and saw five Baltinglass artists receiving €1,000 each to get their creative projects off the ground. Following the success of the first round, the revised scheme will offer almost double the €6,000 first-round investment.The application form can be accessed via Creative Places Baltinglass website and has to be submitted online via the Submittable platform. Projects must take place in the Baltinglass townland area. The fund window closes on Sunday, March 24, at 4pm.
