A new hub for refugees escaping the war in Ukraine opened at the Bridgewater Shopping Centre.
A new hub for refugees escaping the war in Ukraine opened at the Bridgewater Shopping Centre in Arklow last Monday, the 4th of April. This is one of the supports being put in place around County Wicklow to help refugees from Ukraine. The hub, which is located in the former food court on level 2, will be open from Monday to Saturday going forward, between the hours of 10am to 6pm. Ukrainian citizens can seek essential items, such as hygiene products, food, clothing and toys as well as practical advice. Around 20 volunteers are helping to run the hub, and anyone interested in getting involved is welcome to visit the hub and complete a form to express their interest in volunteering.
