An extra 2,000 people are needed to donate blood urgently.
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is warning there's only 3 days supply left of certain blood group types including O negative and B negative.
The IBTS usually aims to keep a 7 day supply in stock at all times.
It's appealing for more donors to come forward and give blood in the coming days and weeks.
A special clinic will run in Tinahealy this weekend, on Sunday 25th May at the Community Centre School Road.
Donors can book an appointment between 12 noon and 3.30pm on www.giveblood.ie
